“We are finished we are not winning the league ‘No thanks’-Chelsea fans sent into panic mode after Key Player has announced he will be leaving Stamford Bridge this Season
Chelsea return to Premier League play today (Sunday) as they begin the new season under new head coach Enzo Maresca.
The Blues will face defending Premier League Champions Manchester City at Stamford Bridge (4.30pm kick-off). While Maresca has been preparing his players for the game and the season ahead, there has been a lot of action off the field.
Since the end of last season, the club has completed incoming transfers for nine players. In addition, numerous players have left Stamford Bridge this summer.
The transfer process appears to be ongoing. The club continues to be associated with players, and the Blues are working on agreements to relocate additional players to other pastures. With that in mind, football.london has reviewed a few of the most recent headlines and provided our opinions on the issue.
Striker sends a message.
Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran has hinted that he would stay with the club beyond the summer, but his boss has refused to rule out a departure. The Colombian was linked with a transfer to Chelsea earlier this summer, as well as to West Ham.
Duran was selected on the bench for Villa’s Premier League match against West Ham, and he made an impact by scoring the winning goal. He rejoiced by pointing to the earth and himself, as if to say, “I will remain.”
