Sir Jim Ratcliffe has officially joined the Manchester United boardroom following the Premier League’s ratification of his minority acquisition and VERY SAD NEWS has been announced for Erig Ten Hag this Evening

Following the Premier League’s approval of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s ownership of the Reds, Manchester United formally welcomed him to Old Trafford this week.

On Christmas Eve, United declared that an agreement with INEOS had been struck, allowing them to join the boardroom. The Reds further stated in the announcement that Ratcliffe and his group would be purchasing a twenty-five percent share in the team and leading football operations, with the Glazers taking a backseat.

Because of worries about Financial Fair Play (FFP), the Reds had a quiet January transfer window. Erik ten Hag focused on the summer transfer window instead of expanding his squad this winter as a result.

Ratcliffe won’t be shocked to learn that United needs to add players to their roster in order to close the gap with the teams vying for the Premier League crown. Ten Hag, according to MEN Sport, wants to strengthen his squad at the very least by adding a full-back, center-back, midfielder, and striker.

It’s thought that Ratcliffe wants to target players who, in the summer, will be entering their final year of contracts. A player’s value starts to decline in the final 12 months as their club tries to get them to sign a new contract or wants to get rid of them before they go for free.

In light of this, MEN Sport has attempted to forecast the possible composition of the United starting lineup for September, when the summer transfer market closes.
