Premier league manager has been Sacked this evening in Shocking season and Jose Mourinho has replaced him
The former Manchester United player also likes the idea of “The Special One” taking over as manager of Newcastle and England, but he knows that none of these things are likely to happen.
After two and a half years with Roma, Mourinho left the club, which had only won eight of its 20 Serie A games this season.
He won’t be out of work for long, though, as the 60-year-old is said to be in talks with Napoli. He has also been linked with Saudi Pro League teams and a job as a foreign manager.
During his very successful career, Mourinho has been in charge of some of the biggest teams in Europe, such as Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, United, and Tottenham.
Ferdinand thinks it would be huge if he came back to Chelsea for a third time, even though it’s not likely to happen. Chelsea is the only club he has returned to and won three Premier League titles, the FA Cup, and three League Cups.
“Go to Chelsea, Mourinho?” The ex-United and England defender said on the Vibe with Five show, “No chance.”
“These guys—these Americans who own Chelsea—don’t go backwards like that.” They’re not going backwards in terms of talent or class; they’re just getting a past manager.
“To be honest, I’d love to see Jose back there.” Jose, please know that I hope you get the job if [Mauricio] Pochettino doesn’t do a good job. I believe they will stick with Pochettino.
In addition to the Blues, Ferdinand thinks Mourinho might be a good fit for either Newcastle or England. He even said he would hire the Portuguese manager to lead the Three Lions.
“Where will he go if he doesn’t go to Chelsea?” To Newcastle? He also said, “I’d love to see him there.”
“But Eddie Howe, man, he’s been terrible.” Eddie shouldn’t leave.
“I don’t believe the FA would hire a Jose Mourinho.” Yes, I would.
“However, I don’t think the FA… There will be no change from Gareth Southgate to Mourinho. There is too big of a gap between character and personality. It’s not going to happen.
“That’s like going from ready-salted to vindaloo, man.” It’s not going to happen.
