Manchester United Manager Erig Ten Hag broke down in tears during after Press conference today as two Key player who’s suppose to be the main man against Bournemouth game Sustained a career ending injury in training– another big injury setback for Erig Ten Hag as player set to be out till next year

Scott McTominay will miss Manchester United’s Premier League match against Bournemouth, although Marcus Rashford might be available.

McTominay missed last week’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool, while Rashford was forced out in the second half, although he trained on Thursday after missing Wednesday’s practice.

“Scott: I don’t think so,” United manager Erik ten Hag said. “We have a training session, so we have a day; he will push, and he wants to be a part of it tomorrow, so it’s extremely dubious.

“And then Rashford: Rashy trained yesterday, so we’ll see how he recovers today; we’ll have another session today and then make a decision.”

Raphael Varane is out for a few weeks, while Jonny Evans will miss the game against Bournemouth due to a shorter-term injury.

Willy Kambwala made his complete home debut against Liverpool, part of Ten Hag’s 26th different back four selection this season. Harry Maguire, Kambwala’s centre-back partner, was on the verge of leaving United in the summer when West Ham United accepted a £30 million bid, but he has had a solid season, starting 21 games.

“You have to view it from that angle,” Ten Hag remarked of West Ham’s interest in Maguire. “We’ve always been satisfied with Harry Maguire, but he wants to play.

“He’s an excellent leader, a superb defender, and a natural on the ball. When I consider all of his talents, he is even more vital to lead our defensive line, forcing us to play from the back. So we’re glad he’s there; we need him to attain our outcomes and meet our objectives.

“It’s quite tough [to keep shifting back four]. So everyone who knows even a tiny bit about football understands how it will effect your outcomes and performances. The back four is always the cornerstone for achieving outcomes. We did not have it.

“But we still need to win, we know that, therefore others must accept responsibility, but when you supervise, you know it has a bad influence.”

In December, United fell 3-0 to Bournemouth at Old Trafford, just three days after defeating Chelsea 2-1 at home. Ten Hag stated that United were “not psychologically prepared” for the Bournemouth encounter.

“It came after a really excellent effort against Chelsea earlier in the week,” Ten Hag said. “We were psychologically unprepared for that game. They fought us, and we lost each fight. Tomorrow will be no different; this is how they want to play. They want to fight with you.

“So you go into that fight with conviction and belief, and you need to encourage each other to win fights, to outplay them, to outpace them, and to defend against the runs.”
