VERY SAD Raheem Sterling news has been announced this evening before the International international BREAK and this may be the end of his career

Gary Neville has advised Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling against going with Manchester United or Arsenal.

Chelsea’s new manager has frequently advised the former Manchester City player that he is surplus to requirements and would be better off looking for a new club before the transfer market shuts.

Arsenal and Manchester United have surfaced as potential suitors for the 29-year-old, but Neville feels first-team opportunities will be scarce at both clubs.

He said: “I adore Raheem Sterling and certainly worked very closely with him when I was there, but I am not sure why Manchester United would regard it as a piece of business right now, given their team.”

‘They have guys they should attempt to get the most out of. They have Amad, Antony, Rashford, and Garnacho who play in those areas.

‘If they lose trust in one or more of those players, they may sign Raheem Sterling, but it does not strike me as a crucial signing for Manchester United right now. They have four guys who need to get into shape and start going themselves.

On the possibility of Sterling resuming his career at title-chasing Arsenal, Neville added: “Arsenal have got Jesus, Trossard and Martinelli who can play on that left side, and Saka on the other side who is so steady and ever-present.

‘It does not stick out and appear to make sense. I understand why Chelsea wants him out, and the scenario over the previous two weeks would indicate that they are anxious to get him out.
