FIFA Has released a Full 2024 Ballon d’Or voting breakdown reveals Rodri’s margin of victory over Vinicius Jr in controversial contest

The Manchester City midfielder earned the prized award last month, beating Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr. in second place. L’Equipe has now disclosed the complete breakdown of the votes cast by the worldwide jury of expert journalists, with Rodri narrowly defeating the Brazilian by 41 points.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
This year’s Ballon d’Or was one of the most contentious, with Real Madrid boycotting the celebration after learning that Vinicius Jr. would not receive the 2024 Golden Ball. Los Blancos received several gongs that night, but they did not attend the event in Paris in protest.
