What Erik ten Hag said to Jadon Sancho in ‘clear the air’ meeting that made him not to apologise has been finally revealed. My family told me not to apologise becauseofwhat he said-“One of most craziest thing I have ever hard”
According to a recent story, Jadon Sancho and Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, had heated conversations at a “clear the air” meeting in September.
Sancho had not played for United since August because of a public disagreement with Ten Hag about his training efforts following a 3-1 loss to Arsenal. He has subsequently joined Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season.
Sancho trained apart from the first team after the fruitless “clear the air” discussions, and he wasn’t picked for matchday squads even when other players in his position weren’t available. While Ten Hag declined to address the issue in public, he did state in December that Sancho’s comeback was still possible.
Details of the scheduled “clear the air” meeting following the Arsenal loss during the international break have finally been made public by The Athletic. Sancho, who was not on international duty with England, was first given leave over the break and returned to attend the conference at Carrington.
Ten Hag is said to have shown Sancho footage from the last practice before United’s match against Arsenal at the meeting. The footage showed United’s starting lineup practicing against a reserve squad that mirrored Arsenal’s tactics. Ten Hag reportedly voiced his displeasure with Sancho’s application and pressing during that session, a something the youngster denied.
More negotiations were planned, and it was said that during those talks, United asked Sancho to take down a social media post that disputed Ten Hag’s remarks during the press conference regarding his alleged subpar training performances.
They also wanted Sancho to publicly apologise to the boss. Sancho did not apologise despite taking down the social media post, and until his recent departure for Dortmund, he was not added to another squad.
Given the circumstances surrounding their falling out and Sancho’s subsequent loan move to Borussia Dortmund, it appears exceedingly improbable that the 23-year-old will play for United under Ten Hag at this time.
