Real Madrid have received a €150m offer from Manchester City for Star player, with the Brazilian the club’s top transfer target. The 15-time Champions League winners don’t want to sell, though
Real Madrid player Rodrygo is allegedly a target for Man City.
According to reports, Manchester City is prepared to make a sizable bid for Real Madrid winger Rodrygo in order to strengthen their offensive reinforcements in January.
Man City has been mentioned as one of the suitors for the Brazilian international, who has been strongly linked to transfers away from the Bernabeu in recent months.
According to earlier reports, Liverpool and Arsenal are also monitoring Rodrygo’s condition, therefore it is evident that a number of teams are interested in the rumors circulating around him.
If accepted, Man City’s €150 million (£126.2 million or $163.2 million) deal for Rodrygo would make him the most expensive acquisition in Premier League history, according to Fichajes.
In light of the uncertainties surrounding Erling Haaland, a target for Real Madrid and other teams, the report asserts that Rodrygo has emerged as one of Pep Guardiola’s main objectives.
Rodrygo, 23, has made 229 appearances for Real Madrid so far and has scored 57 goals and provided 43 assists. He can play as a center striker or as a winger on either flank.
Negotiations “will not be simple” for Man City, though, as Madrid may not consider selling Rodrygo at any price since they see him as an essential player for the present and the future.
Sources say Man City is eager to recruit a new winger.
Despite already having players like Savinho, Phil Foden, Jeremy Doku, and Jack Grealish in their ranks, sources told TEAMtalk that Man City is eager to bolster in wide areas.
According to sources, the Cityzens are searching La Liga for winger targets, but for now, Barcelona star Raphinha is the top player on their wishlist.
With 10 goals and nine assists in 14 games so far this season, the former Leeds United player has been a sensation for the Catalans.
Although Barcelona considers Raphinha to be an essential player, their continued financial difficulties may force them to sell him if a high price is demanded next season.
Regarding Rodrygo, he has previously been linked to transfers to the Premier League, but he has a contract that expires in 2028 and has not expressed any interest in leaving the Bernabeu.
Over the summer, Rodrygo declared, “I still have a contract.” “I do not say it because I am departing; rather, I say it was a pleasure to be here for all these years because it has been enjoyable for me.
“I have a contract, so I am confident I will stay, but it is still a dream.”
Man City is interested in two Bundesliga talents.
TEAMtalk has learned from sources that Man City is seeking to replace club legend Kevin De Bruyne with a new offensive midfielder in addition to a new winger.
