Last month, Ten Hag said that Malacia was set to return to the United squad in January after resuming training.
However, he stated over the weekend that the Dutch left-back is just “not ready” at this point, having had a knee injury last summer and a setback in December.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Wan-Bissaka did not make the squad after being labelled a doubt for the game at Villa Park due to a knock sustained in training on Thursday.
“I don’t know in this moment what the diagnosis is, hopefully not too bad,” Ten Hag went on to say.
