Manchester United Star Player MCTOMINAY has officially left Manchester United to join this Shocking Rival

Manchester United have agreed to transfer midfielder Scott McTominay, according to reports.

The midfielder has been linked with a transfer away from Old Trafford this summer. His contract expires in 2025, with the possibility of an extra 12 months.

The 27-year-old started United’s first two Premier League games of the season and came in as a substitute for 12 minutes in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Brighton.

But United has now decided to let him depart the club.

The Athletic say that they have reached an agreement with Napoli to transfer McTominay for a cost of around €30 million.

If McTominay agrees to terms with the Italian club, the move will terminate the Scotland international’s 22-year association with United, with the Red Devils including a sell-on provision in the deal.

It will help United avoid fines under the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), as McTominay is an academy graduate and his sale would be classified as ‘pure profit’ in the financial sheets.

This summer, the club rejected several proposals for the midfielder, including a deal of roughly £20 million from Fulham.

Last season, he was United’s joint-third leading goalscorer, with 10 in all competitions, thanks primarily to his late rushes into the box and aerial skills. He also occasionally played as a centre forward.
