Manchester United Owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has announced VERY SAD news for Erig Ten Hag this morning after Shocking defeat against Fullham yesterday

One Manchester United player labelled’superb’ after first-half performance vs Fulham
Andre Onana’s heroics saved Manchester United in the first half of Saturday’s Premier League match against Fulham, as Erik ten Hag’s team were ‘exceptionally fortunate’ not to fall down.

Fulham often scares Manchester United.

The first 45 minutes at Old Trafford, however, were less spine-tingling and titillating, and more like a never-ending horror movie from which the home fans could not escape. Only Andre Onana’s brilliance between the sticks stopped the bloodshed.

Onana has been heavily criticised in some places since his £47 million move to Manchester from Inter Milan last summer, but his performances have recently improved significantly.

Certainly, in terms of pure’shot-stopping’.

Andre Onana saves Manchester United at Fulham.
Ten Hag needed the former Ajax custodian to channel his inner David de Gea circa 2016 against Liverpool and Aston Villa, with Onana once again coming to the rescue as a dominant Fulham piled on the chances before referee Michael Oliver mercifully blew for halftime.

“Another fantastic save by Andre Onana. Manchester United are extremely fortunate not to be behind,” said BBC Sport reporter Simon Stone, complimenting the Cameroon international for another excellent save late in the first half.

MORE UNITED STORIES “Fulham’s attacking play has been more focused and effective.”

“If Sir Jim Ratcliffe had any doubts about how far his club are away from the levels they need to be, this game is a stark reminder.”

Ratcliffe recognises the size of the task.
Ratcliffe, who was announced as Manchester United’s new co-owner and chief executive this week, makes no secret of the fact that the Red Devils have fallen far behind their Premier League competitors.

Even amid an outstanding run of consecutive victories, United has been less than convincing. Aston Villa and even Luton Town might and should have had a point or more to show for their efforts in recent weeks, with Onana standing out against the former in particular.
