Manchester United FLOP Striker Antony Martial has signed a contract with shocking European Club after leave Man United this summer
Anthony Martial’s representative has dismissed rumors that his client is “financially hungry,” claiming they are “not true.”
Martial’s contract with United technically expires at the end of the month, and the player waved goodbye to supporters following the Premier League season’s last home game.
United always intended to release Martial this summer after failing to get a fee for him during the January transfer window, and he leaves after nine years in Manchester.
Martial joined United as a youngster from Monaco, making a good first impression by scoring against Liverpool on his debut, but he did not live up to his full potential.
Injuries hindered the Frenchman’s stay at the club, and he played just over 600 minutes in all competitions last season, making only seven starts.
Martial might return to his hometown after leaving United, and he is attracting attention from Lyon and Marseille, as well as teams in Saudi Arabia and the United States.
The player’s agent, Philippe Lamboley, told Sky Sports News on Tuesday that his future transfer will be motivated by sports desire rather than financial gain.
“Anthony’s on vacation. We are reviewing the many proposals that have been proposed to him. Lamboley stated, “We will take our time to determine the next actions.”
“He’ll need time to get fit and ready for his new team, and he’s been exercising regularly for two months. He’s 28, and I’ve heard he’ll be too financially hungry with teams.
“It is not true. Anthony is looking for an ambitious project that will allow him to reach lofty club goals and return to the France squad. He will select his club based on the sporting and family projects.
“Finances are vital to any professional athlete, but they are not his focus.”
When Martial announced his departure from United, he posted on social media: “Dear Manchester United supporters. I write to you today with considerable sadness to say farewell. After nine amazing years at the club, it’s time for me to start a new chapter in my career.
“Since I came in 2015, I’ve had the incredible honor of wearing this jersey and performing in front of you, the finest fans in the world! You have been a constant source of support, both in good and bad times. Your enthusiasm and loyalty have been an ongoing source of inspiration for me.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you’ve done for me. Your music, support, and love for the club will live on in my heart forever.
“I’d also want to thank my teammates, technical staff, and all of the club members I’ve met over my nine years here. I am pleased to have been able to share these experiences with you.
“Manchester United will always be in my heart. This club has left an imprint on my career and given me a wonderful opportunity to perform in front of you. I’m departing to pursue other opportunities, but I’ll always be a Red Devil and will passionately follow the club’s performances.
“Thank you again for everything, and I’ll see you soon.” “With all my respect, Anthony Martial.”
Martial played 317 games for United and scored 90 goals.
