Manchester City Star player Raphael Varane has decided to leave Manchester United this Summer to join this Saudi Arabia Club and will earn £50 per Season
Raphael Varane has an uncertain future at Manchester United. As a result, Saudi Arabia is showing an interest in the ageing centre-back.
The former France international has been linked with a move to the Middle East in recent months, as some of his former Real Madrid teammates currently play in Saudi Arabia.
One of them is former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, who is sure to have previously spoken with Varane about going from Manchester to Saudi Arabia.
According to 90 minutes, Saudi Pro League clubs Al Ittihad and Al Nassr are ‘working on proposals’ for Varane.
Varane’s future became uncertain after United declined to trigger the one-year extension in his contract, which was set to expire. Others feel United’s decision has been delayed due to Ineos’ planned structural and personnel changes following Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s investment.
I always find it sad when elite players, including those who have retired, move on to leagues like the Saudi Pro League. Moving to the MLS seems less depressing.
If Varane leaves at the end of the season, United will be expected to find a top-tier replacement to partner Lisandro Martinez in the heart of the defence.
