Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has dropped update on Manual Akanji injury after he was subbed off yesterday

The FA Cup game between Manchester City and Huddersfield Town on Sunday ended in a 5-0 win for City. A new figure shows how dominant the guests were.
With an easy win over the Championship team at the Etihad Stadium, Pep Guardiola’s team started the year off to a great start.
With strong defence, Huddersfield played well for about 20 minutes. But City’s skill paid off, and Phil Foden broke the tie.
Another goal was scored by the great Englishman in the second half. Julian Alvarez and Jeremy Doku also scored, and Oscar Bobb’s cross went in.
As most people thought it would, the game went as planned. City blew past the Terriers and Stefan Ortega Moreno only had to make a few stops.
The Manuel Akanji number that shows how much better Manchester City were than Huddersfield
It was a really good day for City. Five goals were scored and no goals were allowed. Foden continued to play very well as the number 10 player, Oscar Bobb and Rico Lewis impressed as young players, and Jeremy Doku and Kevin De Bruyne made big returns from injuries.
Pep Guardiola was likely very happy with how the day went.
One bad thing for City was that Manuel Akanji got hurt after only 20 minutes and had to leave the game.
Fans of City will hope it’s not too serious, but the fact that Akanji, a £15 million star, was taken off when he was supposed to gave analysts a chance to show off their skills after the game.
WhoScored says that even though Akanji was only on the pitch for 20 minutes, he made more passes (27) than any other Huddersfield player on Sunday.
City on the edge
Sam Allardyce called Akanji “unbelievable” last season, so it’s amazing that he ended the game with more completed passes than any Huddersfield player, even though he had only played for 20 minutes.
If anything, it shows how powerful City were yesterday, but most people won’t be surprised or even impressed by it.
But City should be praised for how well they played, even though it was against a Championship team. That being said, anything can happen in the FA Cup, so a 5-0 win is pretty good.
I hope Akanji’s problem isn’t too bad. Some people have said bad things about him this season, but he’s still an important player for Pep. The boss loves the Switzerland international because he can play anywhere in defence, and sometimes he even uses him in midfield.
