Manchester City is set to Sign Manchester City outcast who Erig Ten Hag kicked out of the club

What Guardiola thought of Sancho before to 2017. Manchester City academy graduate Manchester City exit Jadon Sancho has agreed to rejoin Borussia Dortmund on loan, revealing Pep Guardiola’s genuine feelings about the winger.

Martin Samuel of The Times made the remarks while appearing on The Game Football Podcast.

So, what did Pep Guardiola and Jadon Sancho say? Let us have a look…

What did Guardiola think of Sancho?
The prevailing consensus is that the England international irritated the 52-year-old by breaking his promise to sign a new contract.

As a result, Guardiola left Sancho out of Manchester City’s pre-season tour of the United States, giving the appearance that the Spaniard was willing to let the striker go, especially after he failed to show up for further training sessions, as recounted by the Telegraph.

That myth, however, has now been debunked.

“It’s a myth that Pep Guardiola didn’t care if he left,” Samuel remarked. He was quite concerned about his departure. They attempted to retain Jadon Sancho. Pep Guardiola saw Jadon Sancho as having first-team potential, so the skill is undeniably there.

The Camberwell-born winger eventually signed for Borussia Dortmund for £8 million in 2017, where he scored 50 goals and assisted 64 times in 137 appearances.

Sancho – who Erling Haaland previously described as a “proper baller” – then secured a £73 million return to Manchester, albeit with United rather than City, before things went south under Erik ten Hag this season.

Manchester City actually made more than £8 million from the sale of Sancho.
When selling Sancho to Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City wisely inserted a 15% sell-on clause.

According to the Telegraph, this meant Guardiola’s team pocketed an extra £9.7 million when the Londoner moved to Manchester United for £73 million.

It’s a sad how things went downhill for Sancho after he emerged from the City Football Academy, but maybe he can revive his career on loan at Borussia Dortmund.
