“I’ve agreed personal terms to join Barcelona but the transfer is on hold for now because I asked them to sell TWO players first, I can’t work with such players”: Barcelona transfer target Rafael Leão confirms he’ll join Barca but on ONE DANGEROUS condition

Barcelona is gearing up for a significant signing in the summer of 2025, with two top targets in mind. According to Fabrizio Romano, the club’s decision-makers are highly impressed with Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams and AC Milan’s Rafael Leão.

Both players would fill a crucial gap in Barcelona’s attack on the left wing, providing much-needed depth to a frontline that has relied heavily on just three players: Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski.

Nico Williams was already close to joining Barcelona last summer, and Rafael Leão’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has a strong relationship with Barcelona president Joan Laporta, which could facilitate a deal.

While it’s uncertain whether Barcelona will ultimately sign either Williams or Leão, fans can expect to hear these names frequently over the next 8-10 months as the transfer season approaches. With a new deal with Nike and a significant cash injection expected, Barcelona is poised to make a big splash in the transfer market.
