“I can only stay at Manchester City only on one condition, I have faced alot of challenges while at the club, it is not easy being where u watch your talent grows and I am not ready to risk it again,” – Before considering to stay at Manchester City, Erling Haaland makes a crucial demand before securing a new contract at the Club
According to sources, Erling Haaland has stated unequivocally that he would only continue at Man City provided Pep Guardiola, the Citizens manager, stays as well.
With 11 goals in nine games for the Citizens, the Norway international has had an incredible start to the 2017 Premier League season.
Pep Guardiola’s team is now one point behind leaders Liverpool, but his goals have helped Man City start the season undefeated.
Rumors concerning Guardiola’s and some of their players’ futures have arisen because of the possibility that, should they be proven guilty, the Citizens may be demoted, relegated, or even expelled.
The 24-year-old Haaland has already won two Premier League crowns, an FA Cup, and a Champions League in his first two seasons in England, making him one of those players who has been connected to other teams.
Haaland has reportedly “warned” Man City in a transfer “ultimatum” that “he will stay,” but only if Guardiola “remains in charge,” according to sources from Spain.
Guardiola “knows that losing his star striker would jeopardize the long-term success of the project, and he must now make decisions that preserve balance in the dressing room and secure Haaland’s commitment,” according to the understanding that “Haaland’s ultimatum might complicate the manager’s plans.”
Frequently linked to Real Madrid and Barcelona, Haaland “has been clear with the board: if Guardiola does not stay, neither will he.”
When he ultimately leaves the Etihad Stadium, Guardiola, the manager of Man City, is “concerned” that the Haaland crisis would harm his prospects of “leaving a strong and well-structured legacy.”
Man City defeated Southampton 1-0 in the Premier League on Saturday because to another goal from Haaland, and Guardiola was full of praise for the Saints following the game.
“Today it was not how (Southampton) defend deep, it was how fantastic they play with the ball with the keeper and the movement,” Guardiola told Sky Sports.
As a manager, it is a useful game to learn. Russell performed pretty well, so I will learn a lot from them. We were modest and acknowledged their excellent performance.
During the press conference following the game, Guardiola, the all-conquering Man City head coach, made a striking statement that received attention.
“I am a huge believer in the approach of the build-up,” Guardiola continued. The players should get the ball to the feet, not the teeth, in my opinion.
When it occurs, it is because the process was amazing. They are quite skilled, so even though we were neither careless or flat, we had trouble getting the ball back.
“As a spectator, I congratulate the opposition when I watch them perform the activities I enjoy with my team and they do it really well. I will definitely learn. Some movements and the motivations behind them.
“They shuffle over people on the side to connect with the striker and get you there.”
“We generated enough opportunities to win better, but it is not simple. The last two games against Wolves and Southampton, who are currently at the bottom of the league, shown how tough it is for me to win in that manner.
“Yes, it is true when people claim that anyone can defeat anybody in the Premier League. Because it is so hard, every game is a war.
“When the opposition is good, you have to accept it, therefore I do not have any problems about my team. This is what took place.
