Sam Matterface, a radio host, thinks that Jack Grealish, a star player for Manchester City, “might be in danger” of not making England’s Euro 2024 team later this year.
This season for City, Grealish has had some ups and downs.
After being an important part of the team that won the Treble in 2022–23, Grealish has had trouble playing regularly this season.
So far, he’s played 24 times in all events, adding up to 1525 minutes.
The £100 million man isn’t in his best form right now because he’s been hurt and sick and because Jeremy Doku and Oscar Bobb are really showing promise.

Matterface was on talkSPORT’s Premier League All Access show talking about Phil Foden when he said he was worried about Grealish.
Just one 13-minute cameo in City’s last three Premier League games, and he didn’t come off the bench in the FA Cup win over Tottenham Hotspur. He is 28 years old.
He did play for 57 minutes in City’s first game of 2024, which was against Huddersfield Town.
It was Matterface who said, “I’m a little worried about Jack Grealish.” Since he hasn’t been around for a while. He might be one of the odd ones out at the Euros if he can’t get back on the team.
“But you know what Pep is like; he lets you rest for a while and then brings you back, and the news starts to follow you again.”
Grealish not making it would be a huge surprise.

Even though he isn’t playing much for City right now, Gareth Southgate needs to take him in the long run.
Grealish is great at keeping the ball and controlling it, and he works hard on defence. These things do make him pretty special, and the fact that he can draw fouls is an overlooked part of his game that can lead to goals. Paul Merson just recently said that he is a great team player.
He might not play as much for City going forward as he did last season because Doku and Bobb are both competing for minutes, but it would still be a big surprise if he didn’t get on that plane.
