The Blues continue to struggle as they try to show signs of improvement during the Bohley-Clearlake era.
Mauricio Pochettino has reprimanded Mykhailo Mudric about his first-team appearances while defending Chelsea’s goals this season.
Chelsea is 10th in the Premier League, with 31 points from 22 games. This is the same level as Graham Potter at this point last season.
Argentina will be hoping to overcome the Wolves on Sunday afternoon. And Mudrick has slid dramatically in the rankings since joining Chelsea for £88.5 million.
When asked why the Ukrainian is being disregarded, Pochettino responded, “He started against Middlesbrough in the semi-final, one of the most important games for us.”
Yes, I’m on the couch right now. Look, form matters throughout the season. As long as you maintain proper form and excel at each workout.
As a coaching staff, we operate on the basis of merit. “We play with players who give their all on the pitch.”I believe he is a young man who arrived a year ago.
We understand the circumstances underlying [the transfer]. Of certainly, it should be improved.
It has incredible talent and promise, but it is a team sport, not tennis.”We have players in our group who need to perform.
They seem nice, but they need to adjust and play for the team. They must adapt, and it will take time.
The Chelsea manager also stated why he believes his squad cannot compete with last season’s roster, which included a number of new additions.
“We weren’t here last season.” He said. “There are 15 to 16 guys who have changed since last season. How do I compare?”
“When you compare this cup to other cups, they are vastly different. “How do you compare?”
Pochettino explained, pointing to two separate bottles of water on the table. “If you have the same trophies, you may compare, but the previous season was different.
There are plenty other players. We started with two Champions League-winning goalkeepers.
Kepa and [Edouard] Mendy were here last season, and we now have two young goalkeepers from different teams, one of whom has yet to play.
That has been the case for Brighton in recent months, as well as in the MLS. “Only you [the outsider] can describe the problem.
You cannot ask me to compare this season to last season. Does that imply that we are not where we are now, or that they were last season?
Do you mean the players who won the League Championship three years ago?”Regarding what is preventing this pricey team from moving further, he added:
“We have to stop using this money as an excuse.”We are assembling a team for the future, and we will, of course, invest in players who we believe will achieve the level we anticipate in the coming years.
“Now we need to put everything in perspective and bring it all together. Team building is not a magical effect.
“When you’re putting together a team with 16 or 17 new players, you have to look at everything from the start because it’s easy to say, ‘Oh, we’ve spent money or we have a good reputation.'”
“Is Nkunku functioning as we expect after seven months? Why? Because we’re not sure how to manage our players? [No] It depends on the situation, but I am really calm and easygoing.”
