“He has not been performing well. Just like Jadon Sancho. I have givin him enough time but he keeps letting the team down. We need serious players at this club”-Ten Hag bans Man Utd striker from first-team training
Erik ten Hag, the boss of Manchester United, has told Anthony Martial that he needs to work on his fitness on his own before he can be considered for the team.
The Mail Sport says that Martial hasn’t trained with the rest of his team since last month, when he got sick. This means the Frenchman hasn’t played for United since December 9, when they lost 3-0 at home to Bournemouth.
When asked about Martial in the past few weeks, Ten Hag hasn’t given away much.Ten Hag said he wasn’t fit before last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham. It is thought that the 28-year-old is not hurt right now, but he has not yet gotten back to full health after being sick last month.
Ten Hag’s choice to let Martial train alone is not a punishment, but a reflection of his belief that players who aren’t match-fit should do individual training.
