Former Totheham play maker and England international Harry Kane is Set to make a shocking return to join premier League Club
Chelsea are apparently plotting a surprise move for Harry Kane after learning more about his current predicament at Bayern Munich.
Kane joined Bayern for £82 million in the summer, ending his long tenure at Tottenham, where he left as the club’s record goalscorer.
The England captain has 28 goals in 29 appearances for Bayern, but there is a chance he will complete the season without a trophy.
Bayern were knocked out of the DFB Pokal by third-tier Saarbrucken in November, and it appears that their historic run of 11 Bundesliga titles in a row may come to an end.
Thomas Tuchel’s team lost 3-0 to Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen last week, and they are now eight points ahead of Bayern’s next encounter.
Bayern lost the Champions League round of 16 first leg against Lazio on Tuesday, with Kane receiving a dismal match rating from German tabloid BILD.
And according to Wayne Veysey of Football Insider, Chelsea is keeping an eye on developments.
According to the source, Chelsea are “hearing whispers” that Kane is unhappy at the Allianz Arena.
Although Kane has only been in Munich for a few months, Chelsea is hoping he will want to return to the Premier League soon.
Kane worked with Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs, where he improved his game significantly.
According to reports, Chelsea would be willing to pay a cost comparable to what Bayern paid to entice him away from Spurs, seeing him as a guaranteed goalscorer who can make a difference in an exceptionally youthful team.
Despite recent problems, Kane remains optimistic in Bayern’s ability to turn things around.
“We have to find it among ourselves,” he explained to TNT Sports.
“We’re still in the Bundesliga race, as well as this tie. We need to keep battling.
“We are going through a difficult time. We need to fight. We have to turn things around. We have big games and significant things to fight over. We are not out of it, and we will not give up.”We simply need to turn it around. One game or spark can alter things around.”
