Former Real Madrid Coach Zinedine Zidane is set to become the manager of this Premier League club
According to a recent claim, Zinedine Zidane is ‘one step away’ from making his surprising return to football management.
Zidane has been out of management since he left Real Madrid in 2021.
The 51-year-old had two periods with Los Blancos, but despite being associated with Manchester United, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain, he has never led another team in his career.
That might all change, according to Spanish site Mundo Deportivo, which claims Zidane is on the verge of replacing Thomas Tuchel as Bayern Munich manager.
Tuchel will leave his position as Bayern Munich manager at the conclusion of the season after a poor domestic season, albeit the former Chelsea manager might depart the club as Champions League champion for the second time in his career.
According to Mundo Deportivo, a deal with Zidane has yet to be finalized owing to “missing specifics,” and the 51-year-old has also requested guarantees in the transfer market.

Zidane has been extensively linked with replacing Erik ten Hag at Manchester United in recent months.
According to former international teammate Emmanuel Petit, the Real Madrid star has been studying English, and there have been rumors that he may replace Jurgen Klopp as manager of Liverpool.
Bayern’s interest seems to have arisen unexpectedly, with rumors saying that the Bavarians were in negotiations with current Germany national team coach Julian Nagelsmann about signing a three-year deal.
However, any hopes of Nagelsmann returning to the Allianz Arena, just over a year after the club fired him, were dashed when it was reported that he had signed a new deal with Germany until the 2026 World Cup.
Bayern were also interested in recruiting their former star Xabi Alonso, but the Liverpool legend publicly announced that he would stay with Bayer Leverkusen just before guiding them to their first Bundesliga championship.
