Former Chelsea manager and Chelsea player Frank Lampard has been appointed as the manager of this shocking Premier League Club
According to a new rumor, Frank Lampard is a surprise possibility to take over as head coach of the Canadian national team.
According to the Telegraph, the Canadian Football Federation has placed Lampard on a managerial shortlist for the 2026 World Cup, which they will co-host with Mexico and the United States.
The former England international has been out of job since his disastrous stint as Chelsea’s temporary manager at the end of the previous season.
According to the publication, Canada wants to chat to Lampard, and the 45-year-old wants to return to management if the proper opportunity arises.
It is unclear whether the job in Canada will appeal to him. Mauro Biello has been in command of Canada on an interim basis since John Herdman quit from the position last summer to take over at Toronto FC.
Lampard played for New York City FC for a year at the end of his career, although he has never managed outside of the United States.
