Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel snubs Premier League club despite desperation to return to England

West Ham’s current manager, David Moyes, is out of contract at the end of the season, and recent performances have put him under more pressure.

Some fans even want him fired after the club went eight games without a win and allowed 16 goals.

The Hammers’ management is looking into possible coaching changes while remaining strongly committed to Moyes for the time being.

Tuchel will become a free agent in the summer after it was confirmed that he would leave German champions Bayern at the end of the season.

However, sources close to Tuchel suggest he will only consider managing at the top English clubs.

Liverpool will lose head coach Jurgen Klopp this summer, and with new board members at Manchester United, manager Erik ten Hag has an uncertain future.

Eddie Howe, Newcastle United’s manager, is also under pressure as his team sits eighth in the Premier League despite receiving billions of dollars from Saudi Arabia.

Tuchel oversaw Chelsea for a year and a half beginning in January 2021, winning the Champions League and Club World Cup before guiding the club through its most difficult era in history.

Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, then-club owner Roman Abramovich was obliged to sell the club due to harsh financial penalties imposed by the UK government.

In May 2022, Americans Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali purchased Chelsea for just over £2 billion and fired Tuchel 100 days later after a 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb.
