English club Have sacked thier big name manager after a poor end to last season

David Norris says 49ers Enterprises could be compelled to dismiss manager Daniel Farke should Leeds United fail to rank among the Championship top three by late October.

Farke lost 1-0 to Southampton in the playoff final after finishing third in the standings, therefore failing to steer the Whites back into the Premier League at the first try last season.

But the German will be allowed another bite at the cherry in 2024/25, but he is unlikely to be afforded much tolerance when it comes to performances with supporters and club management both accepting nothing less than promotion to the top level.

Farke under pressure to produce.
Former Leeds midfielder Norris, who scored four goals in 36 games for the team between 2012 and 2015, claims that Farke might pay with his employment should his side fall short of at least third in the standings by late October.

When asked how long he believes Farke may survive should Leeds have a terrible start to 2024/25, Norris said, “Not very.”

Norris went on, “The heat will be on after not going up last season — they will be going after automatic promotion.

“I suppose Leeds will certainly change if they are not in the top three by the end of October; if they start really poorly, it may be before.

“They were correct to stay with him and give him another chance; however, the pressure will surely be on now.”

When the Championship dates are revealed on Wednesday, Leeds will learn their first rival of the season. They have friends elsewhere at Yorkshire neighbors Harrogate Town and home of Spanish giants Valencia before them.
