Devastating Erling Haaland News has been announced this morning ahead of Thier Premier League Clash with Everton Today

Erling Haaland is pushing to return from injury for Manchester City when they face Everton in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

Haaland, 23, has missed the last three domestic matches due to a nagging foot ailment, and he was also forced to watch from the bench when City triumphed at the Club World Club last week, adding yet another trophy to the cabinet. In Saudi Arabia, Haaland was able to train alone.

His fitness is the biggest unknown for City heading into the Everton game, and Pep Guardiola rated Haaland a 50-50 chance of playing in the Gulf state before the Club World Cup. However, the Norway goal machine would not be able to return at that point.

City did not miss Haaland in the strictest sense, scoring seven goals in two Club World Cup games to officially become the best team in the world. He is still one of their star players, and his performance in other tournaments, like as the Premier League this season, is critical.

To avoid an immediate setback, Guardiola may want to play Haaland sparingly in the Everton game and call on him from the replacements bench in the second half, especially if City needs to chase a win at that point.

If the Catalans adopt that path, Julian Alvarez, who scored two goals and assisted in the Club World Cup final triumph over Fluminense, will undoubtedly lead the line, with Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden, and Jack Grealish providing attacking support.

Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic are in.

Nathan Ake and Rico Lewis are out.

Manchester City’s expected starting lineup vs. Everton (4-2-3-1) is as follows: Ederson; Walker (captain), Stones, Dias, Gvardiol; Rodri, Kovacic; Bernardo, Foden, Grealish; Alvarez.
