Chelsea News

Coming from Fabrizio Romano this early morning Sporting CP has rejected Chelsea’s £90m Bid to sign outrageous star and the club wants £100m

Official reports from GOAL say that Chelsea’s outrageous $92 million deal to sign Viktor Gyokeres, one of Sporting CP’s best players, has failed in the competitive world of football transfers. The Swedish striker Gyokeres has been the star of the team this season, scoring 20 goals and setting up 10 others in just 24 games. He is now at the centre of a heated transfer fight.

Chelsea is very interested in signing Gyokeres, but Sporting CP is still set on asking a huge €100 million for their star forward, citing the player’s non-negotiable release clause as the deciding factor. Ruben Amorim, the manager of Sporting CP, strongly defended the club’s stance. He stayed calm amidst the rumours about a transfer and said that the initial bid of €85 million was way too low.

Viktor Gyokeres, who was bought from Coventry City for a mere €20 million in 2023, has become a surprise for Sporting CP, helping them score 30 goals since he arrived. The Portuguese club doesn’t feel the need to get rid of the prolific striker because they have a deal with him until 2028.

The player agrees with Sporting’s position and has made it clear that he is not interested in any possible suitors at this time. Chelsea, on the other hand, is looking at a lot of different market choices because they are having trouble scoring goals. They are reportedly open to offers for Armando Broja. But Christopher Nkunku’s possible return from injury and Nicolas Jackson’s return from the Africa Cup of Nations adds some uncertainty to Chelsea’s transfer plan, which could affect Gyokeres’ rumoured move to Stamford Bridge. As this transfer saga plays out, everyone is waiting to see if Chelsea will meet Sporting CP’s asking price of €100 million for the Swedish star forward.
