Chelsea Manager Mauricio Pochettino has finally broken silence on Conor Gallagher transfer to Tottenham this January
The 23-year-old midfielder has been one of Chelsea’s most important players this season. He has been in the manager’s starting lineup almost all the time, missing only one game because of suspension, and he has often been captain when Reece James isn’t available.
Some news outlets say he could be sold to help Chelsea pay for a striker in January, even though Pochettino has said the club doesn’t have to sell first in order to buy this month.
Tottenham is one of the teams that wants to sign the England player. He is likely to want to stay in west London, but rumours about his future don’t seem to be going away.
But the Chelsea manager is happy with how Gallagher is dealing with not knowing what will happen to him in the future.
“I think he’s working hard and doing a great job. He’s helping the club, us, and his teammates a lot.”

“We are pleased with his work.” Because he knows the club, he has an edge. He knows what the Premier League wants. We’re so pleased with him.
There has been a lot of talk this month about the prospects of a few Chelsea players. For example, Ian Maatsen is thought to be close to signing a loan deal with Borussia Dortmund.
Andrey Santos, meanwhile, has come back from a loan at Nottingham Forest, but it’s not clear what he will do next.
Pochettino went on, “If you want to know if I talked to Conor about this, the answer is yes.”
“Like all the players, it’s always good to have a good conversation with the player, like Ian Maatsen, or with a different player, like this one, Andrey Santos,”
“I think it’s important for us coaches to always have very clear, direct, and honest talks with the players.” Having these kinds of ties is good for you.
“We talked about a lot of different things, and if we want to talk about something, we will.”
