Chelsea could once again look to sell players to Saudi Arabian in the summer transfer window following Todd Boehly’s meeting with Saudi Pro League director of football Michael Emenalo.
Fulham has reportedly agreed to pay Chelsea £4 million as part of their loan arrangement for Armando Broja, seeking to secure more playing time for the 22-year-old striker during the remainder of the season. Broja made the move to Fulham in January, aiming to gain more game time, but thus far, he has only made four substitute appearances in the Premier League and has yet to start a match.
According to MailOnline, Chelsea allowed Fulham to acquire Broja on loan without a fee under the condition that he participates in at least 60% of Fulham’s remaining fixtures. Moreover, it is reported that Fulham will owe Chelsea the £4 million loan fee if Broja fails to start all ten of Fulham’s remaining games.
Broja faces competition in Fulham’s attacking lineup, particularly from Rodrigo Muniz, who has been in good form with five goals in his last six appearances. Additionally, the imminent return of Raul Jimenez from injury adds further competition for forward positions.
Manager Marco Silva has acknowledged Broja’s situation, emphasizing the need for patience and hard work as Broja adapts to Fulham’s playing style and integrates into the team. Despite setbacks such as illness preventing his participation in recent matches, Silva remains optimistic about Broja’s potential contribution to the team, expressing confidence in the striker’s abilities.
Silva’s remarks highlight the transitional phase Broja is experiencing at his new club, underscoring the importance of time and effort in adjusting to a different environment and playing philosophy. Despite the challenges, there is a sense of belief in Broja’s talent and potential impact once fully acclimatized to Fulham’s setup.
