Borussia Dortmund blame Jadon Sancho’s slow start on Man Utd as sporting director Sebastian Kehl compares Erik ten Hag-enforced absence to ACL injury.
Sancho got his first goal for Borussia Dortmund since joining in January. It helped the German giants beat Werder Bremen 2-1 on Saturday. The player on loan from Manchester United did well to use some nice skill to get past Bremen defender Julian Malatini and then score.
After the English winger finally scored, Sebastian Kehl, the sports director at Dortmund, said nice things about Sancho’s skills. He even said that the Red Devils and their boss Erik ten Hag were to blame for keeping the player out for almost the whole first half of the season.
Kehl told reporters after the game, “When he does something like that, you can see what a great football player he is.” He really does make a difference, especially when he’s with one person. The whole team is proud of Jadon because they saw how hard he worked and how eager he was to help. Setting goals is helpful. He has helped score a few goals before, but this goal will really help him and give him a boost.
“Don’t forget that he hasn’t played in a long time.” It’s like when a football player hurts their cruciate tendon and can’t play for a long time. We’ll need him again on Wednesday and for the next few weeks as well.

THE LARGER PICTURE
The English player wasn’t able to make an impact in his return to the Bundesliga, which led to harsh criticism from the German media. It took him almost two months and 12 games in all competitions to score his first goal. Besides that, he has given two goals.
Having fun after scoring Borussia Dortmund’s second goal, Ian Maatsen is joined by teammates Jadon Sancho and Marcel Sabitzer.
