Arsenal Gunners News

Arsenal have sealed the signing of phenomenal ‘young prospect’ talent- Edu has been very busy over the weekend trying to find a breakthrough and now all papers are signed- 5 years plus additional 1 year extension contract agreed- Jersey number 23 assigned and players announcement will be made official during the week.

Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah is facing an uncertain future at the club, as manager Mikel Arteta has indicated that he has “no future” with the team. Despite Nketiah’s accomplishment of scoring five Premier League goals this season, his playing time has diminished, leading to speculation about his next move.

During Arsenal’s recent 0-2 FA Cup defeat against Liverpool, Nketiah was only brought into the game in the final eight minutes. BBC commentator Alan Shearer criticized Arteta’s decision, especially considering Liverpool had already secured their second goal.

On the It’s All Kicking Off podcast, former Blackburn striker Chris Sutton suggested that Nketiah should contemplate leaving Arsenal due to uncertainty surrounding his role, particularly with Kai Havertz being favored as the central striker. Sutton questioned the message Arteta is sending to Nketiah and pointed out that if Havertz is the designated number nine, it raises doubts about Nketiah’s future with the club.

The situation has sparked speculation about Nketiah’s potential departure, with Crystal Palace reportedly expressing interest. Arsenal has set a £30 million price tag for Nketiah, possibly driven by a desire to sell players and bring in reinforcements.

Arteta, addressing the January transfer window, has expressed Arsenal’s openness to potential moves but emphasized a focus on maximizing the potential of the existing squad. He stated, “We are open to the transfer market, but the focus is on making the best of the players we have.” While not ruling out possible transfers, Arteta highlighted the need to explore options and assess available players before making decisions.

In light of Arsenal’s willingness to entertain offers and Arteta’s emphasis on the existing squad, Nketiah’s future at the club remains uncertain, shaping the narrative around the talented striker’s potential departure in the ongoing transfer window.
