Chelsea are expected to face a profit and sustainability charge from the Premier League, from breaches committed under the ownership of Roman Abramovich.

The Premier League is set to impose a financial penalty on Chelsea for breaches that occurred under Roman Abramovich’s ownership. Chelsea faces charges for actions taken during Abramovich’s tenure, with sanctions expected soon.

UEFA fined Chelsea £8.6 million last summer for previous violations under Abramovich’s leadership, which may have been harsher if not self-reported.

Chelsea’s new ownership is cooperating with the Premier League, hoping for reduced penalties. Despite this, the new owners assert they have not violated spending regulations since taking over.
