WHAT PEPE GUARDIOLA SAID
After the 2-2 tie with Barcelona, he stated, “Erling is not comfortable. We do not want to take chances. However, he will eventually have to take a step forward with training and minutes. The season is almost around the bend. He has niggles and muscle issues, and we don’t want to risk losing him for three weeks or a month. That would pose a difficulty.
“He didn’t feel good, therefore he didn’t play the second half. Sixty-seven percent of the team is on holiday. That’s why we need players. At the same time, we have choices, and Oscar [Bobb] does an excellent job yet again. We are satisfied with a number of things.”
