BREAKING NEWS ‼️: LIVE FROM FABRIZIO ROMANO VIA STRIKE90MINS CHELSEA HAS SIGN THE DEAL WITH A TEENAGE BARCELONA FORWARD MARC GULU, WHOSE RELEASE CLAUSE WITH THE CATALANS IS JUST €6M. CHELSEA FANS ARE SO DELIGHTED ABOUT THE PLAYER, CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE SPECIAL FORWARD PLAYER IN STAMFORD BRIDGE

Chelsea has commenced negotiations with Barcelona regarding the acquisition of young forward Marc Guiu, whose release clause is set at a modest €6 million.

Guiu rose to prominence in October when he became Barcelona’s youngest and fastest debutant scorer, netting the decisive goal against Athletic Bilbao a mere 23 seconds after entering the field. He further showcased his talent by scoring in a Champions League match against Royal Antwerp, concluding his breakout season with two goals from seven senior appearances.

Renowned Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has reported that Chelsea has approached Guiu, who could be available for just €6 million (£5 million). The 18-year-old’s current contract is set to expire in 2025, and Barcelona has faced difficulties in negotiating a renewed and improved contract with him. Sevilla has also expressed interest in securing the young forward’s services.

Guiu demonstrated his scoring prowess at the 2023 U-17 European Championship, where he was the joint-top scorer alongside his club and international teammate Lamine Yamal, as well as Germany’s Paris Brunner and Robert Renak. Witnessing Yamal, who is two years younger, advance into the senior squads of Barcelona and Spain, Guiu might be contemplating a move to enhance his own career development.

Chelsea continues to pursue a strategy focused on signing promising young talent. The club has already agreed to a £29 million deal to acquire Palmeiras prodigy Estevao Willian in 2025. Additionally, Chelsea has shown interest in Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran and Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion.

This concerted effort to invest in emerging talent underscores Chelsea’s ambition to build a strong foundation for the future by integrating young and potentially high-impact players into their squad.
