“I will want to see him at Old Trafford but the fans don’t him, its not my decision it’s the staff decision”-Manchester United owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has dropped update on Mason greenwood Future at the club
Borussia Dortmund’s sports director declined to answer a question about the club’s interest in signing Manchester United attacker Mason Greenwood.
Greenwood spent the previous season on loan at Getafe after United thought it would be best for him to pursue his career away from Old Trafford.
Greenwood eventually regained his playing form in Spain, scoring 10 goals and assisting six times in 36 appearances across all competitions. That loan spell has now over, and the 22-year-old will have the opportunity to rest before United decides on his future step.
When questioned about Greenwood during the Champions League final media day, Dortmund’s sports director Sebastian Kehl said that all transfer intentions were on hold.
“I don’t want to talk about rumours right now since they make no sense. Let’s play the final on Saturday,” Kehl stated.
“Of course, we have ideas for the following season, and we debate numerous situations, but nothing for today. Let’s concentrate, let’s prepare for the match on Saturday, and then we’ll see how things go.”
When asked if Greenwood is a player Dortmund is watching, Kehl stated, “I don’t want to talk about it right now.”
