Manchester United News

Former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar has become manager of this shocking Premier League club today!

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been designated as the new odds-on favorite to take up a new position and end his two-and-a-half-year absence from football after his departure from Manchester United.

United fired the Norwegian in November 2021, after a 4-1 loss to Watford at Vicarage Road.

He has not played football since, and despite receiving several offers to return, including two from Saudi Arabia, he has chosen to wait for the proper chance.

If you asked supporters to pick the perfect chance for Solskjaer, they may not think of the Republic of Ireland position, which has been vacant since Stephen Kenny’s dismissal in November.

However, one of Solskjaer’s old Manchester United teammates, John O’Shea, has taken over as temporary manager.

United stalwarts Steve Bruce and Roy Keane have been at the top of the bookies’ odds for many weeks, but Solskjaer has seemingly sprung out of nowhere to dominate the current odds.

According to Betfair, the Norwegian is a 3/10 favourite to take over as manager of the Republic of Ireland.

He was previously offered at odds of 80/1, indicating that the 51-year-old’s chances have shifted dramatically.

The reason for this adjustment is unknown, and there is no sign that Solskjaer has spoken with the FAI.

However, his name has been touted as one of Ireland’s favored candidates for the role.
