“We’re 100% open to selling him despite the fact that he’s a great player”- Arsenal’s owner Stan Kroenke say Arsenal are ready to get rid of ‘extraordinary’ Bukayo saka locker room best friend before the January transfer deadline- Not J5, not Partey and not Ramsdale.

Arsenal’s owner, Stan Kroenke, has signaled the team’s readiness to sell their player, Nuno Tavares, whom they regard as exceptional, ahead of the upcoming transfer deadline.

Recent reports indicate that Arsenal is considering turning Nuno Tavares’ loan move to Nottingham Forest into a permanent deal this month. The Portuguese left-back’s underwhelming performance during his loan with Nottingham Forest has led to discussions about a potential return to Arsenal later this month.

There are rumors of Olympique Marseille expressing interest in acquiring Tavares, and it appears that Arsenal is actively seeking to conclude a deal before the impending deadline. Football expert Fabrizio Romano suggests that Arsenal is open to selling Tavares to Marseille on a permanent basis, contingent on Forest sending the defender back to north London.

Once praised as ‘extraordinary’ by former Marseille manager Igor Tudor, a move back to France could prove beneficial for both Tavares and Arsenal, especially if a satisfactory transfer fee can be negotiated for the 23-year-old fullback.

Selling Tavares at a profit would be a significant accomplishment for Arsenal, potentially providing financial flexibility for manager Mikel Arteta to make new signings for the team.

Tavares, who joined Arsenal from Benfica in 2021 for a reasonable fee, initially showed promise and impressed during his loan at Marseille last season. However, it is now apparent that the Portuguese youth international may lack the qualities needed to thrive in the Premier League, as he has had limited playing time with Nottingham Forest this season.

Given these circumstances, Arsenal is advised to put forth maximum effort in selling the 23-year-old left-back, a process that could be expedited if Forest allows Tavares to return to north London in the coming days.

With Marseille already expressing interest, a potential agreement with the French club seems imminent, placing Arsenal in a favorable position to make a significant signing during the January transfer window.
