“When will you stop crying and blaming the Referee” Chelsea manager Pochettino gives his own view Gusto red card argument after claims by Fulham manager
Mauricio Pochettino has spoken out on Malo Gusto’s challenge on Willian during Saturday’s 1-0 win against Fulham.
Gusto appeared to stamp on Willian in the first half but Chelsea scored right before halftime through Cole Palmer.
Anthony Taylor, the centre referee, gave the Frenchman a yellow card for the challenge, but some Fulham fans thought it should have been a red.
Fulham coach Marco Silva made the same argument after the game, but Pochettino has agreed it was a nasty tackle from the Chelsea player.
“I value his viewpoint. “I don’t know if they checked or not, but it was a difficult challenge for the referees and the VAR,” Pochettino told TNT Sports.
“Ok. I’m not going to say anything because I recognise that maybe…It was a red card, but I can’t say much because I hadn’t seen all of the angles or the camera. Look at that football.”
