West Ham United are reportedly open to selling previous Manchester City target to Pep Guardiola for £30M but City are offering £20m

Nayef Aguerd was once wanted by Manchester City, and West Ham United is allegedly willing to sell him in January.

Manchester United was linked with a move for the centre back in September, when it was said that both Manchester City and Liverpool were interested in the Moroccan.

While both of the north-west clubs were linked with a move for the Hammers player in the summer, it has now been said that they might not have to wait until the end of the season to get him.

A story from the Evening Standard says that the east London club is open to offers for Aguerd and might be willing to let him go this month if they get a good offer and can find a replacement.

West Ham only paid £30 million to sign the centre back from Rennes in the summer of 2022.

The 27-year-old has played 51 times for the Hammers in all games since then and scored four goals for the team.

David Moyes called Aguerd a “stylish” player almost a year ago when talking about how good he was with the ball.

When it comes to work off the ball, only Kurt Zouma (82) has made more clearances in the Premier League this season for West Ham than the Morocco international (70).

Even though Pep Guardiola already has a lot of defenders, City has only kept five clean sheets in the Premier League this season. This tells us that Aguerd’s possible arrival this month would make the Blues’ current defenders work harder because they would have to compete for a spot on the team.

After thinking about everything, we think City should talk to the Hammers this month to find out how much it would cost to get Aguerd if they want to add him to the team.
