VERY SAD NEWS has been announced for Rasmus Højlund this evening by Man UTD manager Erig Ten Hag
Erik ten Hag discusses Rasmus Højlund’s injury, which will prevent him from playing in forthcoming games for Manchester United.
Rasmus Højlund will be out for two to three weeks due to a “muscle injury” as defined by Manchester United.
Højlund has been a crucial component of Erik ten Hag’s recent excellent run, with the striker scoring in the past six Premier League encounters in a row. His absence for multiple weeks is a significant setback for the team.
United are preparing to face Fulham at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, and Ten Hag addressed the striker’s injury during his pre-match press conference on Friday.
“It was a minor injury that lasted two to three weeks,” the United manager told reporters. “That is the risk playing high intensity, training; it’s not a big injury, but he has to wait now for two-three weeks.”
Ten Hag, speaking more broadly about injury difficulties, stated, “That is an issue. However, other clubs have this. We need to deal with this.
“I believe we can handle it better today than we did in the autumn. The issue lies with the squad’s depth.”
Højlund will likely miss United’s upcoming games against Fulham, Nottingham Forest (A, FA Cup), and Manchester City (A).
If he does not recover within two weeks, he will miss Everton (H), and if he takes three weeks to recuperate, he will also miss Sheffield United.
