VERY SAD NEWS as Gareth Southgate has come out and explained why he Doesn’t want Raheem Sterling on his Squad for March international break

£50m A Chelsea player isn’t likely to be named to the England team later today.
Later today, Gareth Southgate will name his England team, and a couple of Chelsea players are likely to be on it.

Cole Palmer and Conor Gallagher have been great this season. Palmer scored the winning goal in Monday’s 3-2 win over Newcastle United.

The Telegraph, on the other hand, says that Raheem Sterling probably won’t be in England’s team for their games this month against Brazil and Belgium.

The last time Sterling played for his country was at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. It now looks like he won’t be able to go to the Euros.

Ben Chilwell will also not be in Southgate’s team because he got hurt again. Simon Phillips, a journalist, recently shared new information about the knee problem of the left back.

Raheem Sterling is not likely to be picked for the England team.
This season, Sterling’s play has been all over the place. For Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Brentford at the beginning of March, he was left on the bench. However, he played the Premier League game before that against his old team, Manchester City, and scored.

To give you an idea of how unreliable the 29-year-old has been, his last goal in the top flight was in November.

That being said, it makes sense for Southgate to decide not to bring Sterling with him to England’s future games.

Now, the winger needs to have a good end to the season if he wants to go to the Euros and maybe even save his job at Chelsea.

The player could be sold in the summer. He used to play for City and joined Chelsea for £50 million in 2022.

If Sterling leaves Stamford Bridge, Nico Williams, a good player for Athletic Bilbao, could come in to replace him. A move to west London is being talked about for the Spain international right now. In 23 league games this season, he has scored three goals and set up seven others.
