Chelsea News

VERY SAD News as An outraged letter from Ultra Boys 90, a supporter organisation of RC Strasbourg, has been sent to BlueCo, the owners of Chelsea, demanding that they hold an emergency meeting.

Ultra Boys 90, a supporter group backing RC Strasbourg, recently penned a vehement letter to BlueCo, the owners of Chelsea FC, urging an immediate dialogue. This appeal comes in the wake of BlueCo’s acquisition of Chelsea in May 2022, displacing Roman Abramovich from ownership. Notably, BlueCo’s portfolio extends beyond the London club, as they acquired a majority stake in the French side Strasbourg last year.

While discontent among Strasbourg supporters towards BlueCo’s ownership has been longstanding, it has intensified in light of the club’s recent transfer policies. Mirroring their actions at Chelsea, BlueCo has opted to replace seasoned Strasbourg players with younger counterparts, entrusting them with pivotal roles on the team.

The departures of key figures such as star midfielder Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, captain Matz Sels, and top scorer Habib Diallo have left a void, albeit one that BlueCo seeks to fill with promising talents like Abakar Sylla, Emanuel Emegha, and Dilane Bakwa. Furthermore, BlueCo’s decision to loan Chelsea’s teenage prospects Andrey Santos and Angelo Gabriel to Strasbourg has added fuel to the discontent.

Despite these investments, Strasbourg finds itself in a precarious 12th position in the league standings, prompting Ultra Boys 90 to issue a stern statement demanding accountability from BlueCo. The supporters express disappointment at the lack of engagement from BlueCo’s stakeholders, despite repeated reminders.

With March underway and still no sign of dialogue, the supporters stress the need to reassess the club’s trajectory under BlueCo’s ownership. They lament the transformation of Strasbourg from a footballing institution to a mere financial asset in the hands of an investment fund.

Highlighting the adverse impact of BlueCo’s youth-centric recruitment strategy, the supporters question the club’s competitiveness and call for transparency regarding BlueCo’s long-term vision for Strasbourg. They express solidarity with the team’s struggle to avoid relegation, emphasizing the importance of players upholding the club’s legacy despite the challenges posed by BlueCo’s policies.
