VERY SAD Heartbreaking news has been announced as Manchester City appeal REJECTED as English FA slammed Pep Guardiola 115 count charges this morning for an offence in MAN UTD and LIVERPOOL match last season
The boss of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, has spoken out for the first time since the club was charged with breaking more than 100 Premier League rules about money.
Should the six-time Premier League winners be found guilty of charges related to financial information, sustainability and profitability, player and manager pay, failing to cooperate, and UEFA rules, they could lose points or even be kicked out of the top league.
The alleged events are said to have happened over nine years, and the Premier League’s four-year probe led to the charges on Monday.
To the claims of violations, Manchester City said they have a “comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence” and “look forward to this matter being put to rest once and for all.”
Manager Pep Guardiola told the reporters on Friday that the Blues were still confident in their defence against the charges. This came before Sunday’s game against Aston Villa.
“First thing that comes to mind is that we’re already being judged.” The same goes for UEFA; we were already found guilty. The club showed that we were not guilty at all. He said, “You know which side I’m on.”
“We’re lucky to live in a country where no one is guilty until proven so.” It looks like we’ve already been blamed. I have no idea what will happen.
“We think our lawyers are good, and we’re going to defend our case.” It will depend on what happens in time. We’ll wait and see what the Premier League says. In the same way, we are not guilty of anything with UEFA.
“No one is guilty until proven guilty in this country.” The sentence from UEFA wasn’t even that. Now it’s up to the lawyers on both sides to protect their clients.
“It will last longer than one month, two months, or three months.” We are aware of what took place with UEFA and will show that.”
