Top 4 English manager has been finally sacked today after sobering defeat in the premier League today

Because they were afraid of going down, Salford City fired boss Neil Wood | CaughtOffside.

Neil Wood was fired as manager of Salford City after their 5-1 loss to Tranmere on Tuesday.

Last season, the 40-year-old boss led Salford to the League Two Play-Offs. This season, however, he has had a lot of problems, and the team is close to being relegated.

The club, which is owned by Manchester United’s Class of 92, has lost 16 games since the season began. Their most recent loss to Tranmere on Christmas Day made the owners fire the boss.

In a formal club statement, it said:

“Head Coach Neil Wood is leaving Salford City Football Club,” the club said.

“The Club would like to thank Neil for all his hard work over the last 18 months. He led the Club to our best ever finish in Sky Bet League Two last season, and we wish him the best in his future football career.”

“The search for a new manager will begin right away, while Assistant Coach Simon Wiles gets the team ready for Friday’s game against Grimsby Town.”

Wood was in charge of the Manchester United U23s team before he came to work for Salford.

During his time, he also played for Man United’s youth team but never made it to the main team.

He became the manager of Salford in May 2022 and oversaw 88 league games.

The team’s assistant manager, Simon Wiles, has been put in charge of the game against Grimbsy Town on Friday.

The club in the fourth level is owned by football stars Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Phil Neville, Nicky Butt, and Paul Scholes.
