People are always getting things wrong about Man City, says Thierry Henry – Football News
Many people have the wrong idea about Manchester City’s football, and Thierry Henry has moved to clear it up.
After a great year, Manchester City is now the best team in England, Europe, and the whole world.
Last season, Pep Guardiola’s team won all three titles. This season, they have a good chance of doing it again, which would be the first time ever.
Blues beat Manchester United 3-1 on Sunday, thanks to two amazing goals from Phil Foden and a late goal by Erling Haaland. This kept the pressure on Premier League leaders Liverpool.
When the two teams play in a huge game on Sunday, City has a chance to pass Jurgen Klopp’s team.
When Thierry Henry talked about how great City’s football was on Monday Night Football, he moved to point out something that everyone gets wrong.

Why do people get it wrong about Man City? Thierry Henry
The French player said, “Everyone says City plays in a 4-3-3.”
“No, they don’t.” This is how they protect sometimes: 4-4-2. When they have the ball, they never play 4-3-3. It’s a 3-7!
“It looks like a 3-2-5 sometimes but not a 4-3-3.” When you’re on the ball, your shape changes.
“The balance is what you need to see.”
That’s why City is so tough to beat.
Total Football has a history that goes back to Rinus Michels, then to Johan Cruyff, and now to Guardiola.
The Blues manager keeps changing things, but the one thing that makes his teams stand out is that they make the pitch big when they have the ball and small when they don’t.
To do that well, you need players who can play anywhere on the pitch, and Guardiola has put together a team full of those players.
Take a look at how John Stones went from being a centre back to a great midfielder, how Foden can play anywhere in the attack, and how Bernardo Silva has played left back and everywhere else.
At least once, all but three of City’s players have played more than one position. They are goalie Ederson, striker Haaland, and centre back Ruben Dias.
But even the Brazilian would play in the middle if he could.
Guardiola taught his players that to stay in charge, they must always keep “balance” in the team, which can look like a lot of different shapes.
City is only really in trouble when a quick attack throws them off balance.
