Chelsea News

The Arsenal are the “main candidates” to make a surprise move for the Chelsea winger.

In his debut season at Stamford Bridge, the Ukrainian winger, secured by the Blues from Shakhtar Donetsk for a staggering £88.5 million, failed to meet expectations. Mykhaylo Mudryk, at 22, is poised to become one of the Premier League’s biggest letdowns. Despite numerous opportunities, he only managed to score four goals in 26 appearances across all competitions, a far cry from what was expected.

Recently falling out of favor with Mauricio Pochettino, Mudryk has been displaced by players like Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson, both starting as strikers on the right side. His dismal performance raises concerns for Chelsea, who are eager to see the Ukrainian turn things around.

Rumors from Fichajes suggest Chelsea’s dissatisfaction with Mudryk may lead to exploring options for the upcoming season. A loan move seems probable, but a permanent sale remains a possibility. Arsenal, under Mikel Arteta’s ownership, reportedly holds interest in the struggling winger, while Juventus also eyes a potential exit for him from Stamford Bridge.

Interestingly, Arsenal nearly signed Mudryk before his Chelsea move. With Arsenal dubbed as the “main candidates” in this saga, there’s speculation they might pursue him again. Though Mudryk may regret snubbing Arsenal initially, Arteta’s knack for player development could offer him a second chance to thrive.
