Shocking news has been announced this morning as 47-year-old Billionaire is set to replace Todd Boehly as Chelsea chairman in 2025

According to Mail Sport, the Blues will nominate a new figure to the position in 2027, but the American will remain with the club.

Boehly has been in charge of the club since the takeover of Roman Abramovich’s reign, which is regarded as the club’s most successful period in its history.

Anyone taking over after that spell would be under constant pressure to show results right away, or supporters would be dissatisfied.

Unfortunately, this has been the situation for the past two seasons, with the Blues struggling for mid-table positions.

This is despite their willingness to spend large sums of money since taking power. The club has twice broken its transfer record by signing Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo in consecutive windows.

However, derogatory cries have been directed at the American, and as a result, the current manager, Mauricio Pochettino.

It has recently been reported that his tenure as chairman will end in a few years, and that someone else at the club may take control.

It has been speculated that Behdad Eghbali may be the man assigned with the post, as part of an agreement between the club’s owners that the position might be transferred at regular intervals.

Whether this makes a significant difference at the club remains to be seen, but Chelsea fans are certainly growing dissatisfied with the situation at Stamford Bridge.

There is allegedly already a split on the board on what to do with Pochettino, with some looking ahead to a future without him.
