“Selling such player will be the biggest mistake ever made in football history…I often instruct my players to watch him and learn”: Pep Guardiola warns Arteta about selling ‘Arsenal best player’ as the player already closer to Gunners exit.

Pep Guardiola has issued a stark warning to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta regarding the potential sale of one of Arsenal’s key players, referring to it as potentially “the biggest mistake ever made in football history.” Guardiola emphasizes the player’s influence and the importance of learning from him, a sentiment he often conveys to his own players.

In parallel, Ipswich Town is reportedly nearing the acquisition of midfielder Omari Hutchinson from Chelsea this summer, as revealed by sources from HITC. Chelsea has struggled to provide Hutchinson with sufficient playing time, making a transfer the most favorable option for all parties involved.

Hutchinson’s move to Chelsea from Arsenal in 2022 was marred by limited success for the young attacking midfielder, necessitating a fresh start. His prospective collaboration with former Manchester United coach Kieran McKenna at Ipswich Town could be the revitalization he needs.

Hutchinson’s football journey began at Chelsea, where he was scouted by Charlton in 2012. He later joined Arsenal’s under-12 team after a brief stint playing futsal. His teenage years at Arsenal were marked by significant promise, earning commendations from the legendary Brazilian footballer Pele. Despite these accolades, his career at Arsenal did not flourish as expected.

A memorable moment in Hutchinson’s early career was his encounter with Pele, which he recounted to The Sun. Following a tournament, Hutchinson was selected to showcase his skills, drawing admiration from Pele. This event, highlighted by Pele’s encouraging words and a shared photograph, was a dream come true for Hutchinson and his grandmother, who idolized the Brazilian star.

Despite Pele’s praise, Hutchinson struggled to secure a prominent role at Arsenal. Under Mikel Arteta’s tenure, although many academy players were given opportunities, Hutchinson did not manage to establish himself. His subsequent transfer to Chelsea also failed to yield the desired results, prompting his upcoming move to Ipswich Town.

Chelsea is expected to receive approximately £22 million for Hutchinson’s transfer to Ipswich Town. The deal, however, does not include a buyback option but features a substantial sell-on clause, ensuring Chelsea benefits from any future transfers involving Hutchinson.

This transfer could mark a pivotal turn in Hutchinson’s career, offering him the playing time and development opportunities he has long sought.
