Scoring five goals against Luton is nothing to me. Imagine scoring five goals against Liverpool when we play again; that’s when they’ll realize they’re average teams.’ Man City Star Erling Haaland gives his thoughts on Liverpool’s title challenge against Manchester City

Manchester City forward Erling Haaland has been closely following the Premier League title fight and exuded optimism, saying, “We are ready to go on the offensive.”

City defeated Luton Town 6-2 on Tuesday night, advancing to the FA Cup quarterfinals at Kenilworth Road.

Haaland delivered an amazing performance for Pep Guardiola’s team, scoring five goals, including a hat-trick in the opening 40 minutes.

Haaland, who recently recovered from an ankle ailment that kept him out for two months, has been in excellent form, scoring seven goals in his previous six appearances.

With star player Kevin De Bruyne back to form after a lengthy hamstring injury, he assisted on Haaland’s first four goals against Luton.

The duo is determined to lead City to a fourth consecutive Premier League championship. City is currently trailing leaders Liverpool by a single point and faces a crucial match at Anfield next Sunday, with Arsenal one point behind in third place.

Haaland offered a strong warning to Liverpool as they compete for the crown, telling ITV Sport that “it’s coming, and we’re on our way.”

Regarding his fitness, Haaland expressed confidence, saying, “I’m in my top condition. I’m finally feeling wonderful. It’s an exciting feeling. Exciting days are ahead. “We are ready to launch an assault.”

However, City suffered another blow in their victory over Luton. Jack Grealish was taken off in the 38th minute owing to a recurrence of a groyne injury, leaving him visibly concerned on the bench. Manager Pep Guardiola commented, “I haven’t spoken with the doctor yet, but it appears he complained about his groyne, so it could be similar.”
