Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr are ready to make a £70m bid for the Manchester City undroppable Star player
Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Professional League has contacted Manchester City about goalkeeper Ederson.
The Brazilian shot stopper is set to quit the Premier League for the Middle East.According to The Mail, the 30-year-old has received an offer of £25 million, which will not be sufficient to get his signature.
City are looking for at least twice that amount, seeing Ederson as an important player for the upcoming season.
However, they are aware that they may not be able to keep him for very long.
Ederson is now in the United States with manager Pep Guardiola and his colleagues for preseason.
In possession, Donnarumma lacks the broad passing range of a modern goalkeeper and is frequently caught off guard with the ball at his feet. For example, while Karim Benzema may have fouled the former AC Milan star in the Champions League during the second leg of the Round of 16, he dallied in possession for much too long, allowing Real Madrid to open the scoring.
Ortega, unlike Donnarumma, is a better passer, more composed in possession, and a skilled shot-stopper.
Unlike the latter, the German is accustomed to Pep Guardiola’s expectations, which strengthens his case for replacing Ederson if he leaves Manchester City over the Euro 2020 winner.
